All flights go to the Busuanga Airport at the north side of
the main island of Busuanga. From the airport, one needs a van to go
down to Coron Town on the south side of the island. It takes approximately 45 minutes travel to Coron Town.
Another way of getting to Coron is via the first and only
Philippine cruise ship, 7107 Island Cruise Ship. A cruise itinerary usually
takes you to the beaches of Puerto Galera, Boracay and Coron.
For those on a tight budget or who have plenty of time, Superferry sail to Coron (12 hours Manila to Coron). Superferry leaves Manila every Friday 6pm and arrives at Coron Saturday 6am.
How to Go Around Coron
Tricycles (basically a motorbike with a sidecar attached on
its side) are the primary means of transport around CoronTown. 1 tricycle can accommodate 5-6 persons. For every ride, it costs P8.00/person from one to another point within town proper.
What to bring to Calamian Islands

snorkel set/ aqua shoes (optional)
camera (must-bring)
underwater camera
swim wear (is a must, to enjoy swimming)
rubber slippers

Most people would say that the best time to go is from March until June
because it is generally summertime in the Philippines. But you would have to
contend with a bigger crowd descending into the islands then, and rates are high during peak season. If you would like the chance of getting
a quieter and more relaxed vacation, head to Calamian Islands during the months of August to December you will also get the chance of getting lower
rates. Just always check the weather condition.
